Straight out of his home town of Cardiff, this young singer/songwriter is taking the UK and Europe by storm. Supported by a group of talented musicians, Captain Accident’s unique blend of ska/reggae/soul is taking him to the top.
It was in his home studio in Cardiff that Captain Accident, aka. Adam Parsons’, creative talents were born. His soulful song writing is inspired by his own experiences and perspectives on life.
With 3 self-produced albums already under his belt; Pick Up The Microphone (2010), Slippin’ Up (2013) and Wake & Break (2016)– 2017 has been an exciting year for this artist. Dubbed, “the best in Brit reggae,” by Sir David Rodigan, Captain Accident has worked relentlessly to grow his fan base through extensive touring across the UK and Europe, countless festival appearances and high-profile radio airplay and interviews.
Recognising his musical talent, the legendary Toots Hibbert invited Captain Accident to play with The Maytals at the Bands in the Sands live show in Cornwall. He also joined the reggae heroes for a further five dates on their current UK tour. Captain Accident was also joined on stage by Suggs at a charity event, where they performed “54-46” together.
The band continue to share the stage with many of the biggest names in ska and reggae including; Less Than Jake, Aswad, The Skints, Prince Fatty & Horseman, Pama International, Mad Professor, Bad Manners, The Toasters, Sonic Boom Six, Neville Staple (The Specials) and Fishbone. They are now a major part of the UK festival circuit, including Glastonbury, Secret Garden Party and Boomtown Fair.
With festival bookings and plans for further UK and European tours already in place, the next 12 months are looking extremely exciting for Cardiff’s rising star.
