Best Sustainable Tourism

We have some news …

Last night, at the Pembrokeshire Tourism Awards, we won:

We are so proud of what we do here at Bluestone and, although we don’t do what we do to win awards, it’s great that sustainable businesses in Pembrokeshire are being recognised 👏

Tom and Emily went along to the awards ceremony last night in Amroth.
The evening was a great celebration of all the fantastic businesses in Pembrokeshire.

There were three other wonderful businesses in our category for Sustainable Tourism:
Top of The Woods – Glamping Site based near Boncath
Cuffern Manor – Bed and Breakfast near Newgale
Asheston Eco Barns – Holiday cottages near Haverfordwest

Take a look at their websites (by clicking on their names above), it’s great to support other independent businesses who are flying the flag for sustainability.

In case you need a quick reminder of what makes our business so green, here’s a quick list of some of our sustainable credentials:

Solar Panels on the roof of the Brewery
Homemade Compost toilets with recycled beer barrel urinals
Wildflower roofs on our stage + toilets
Zero waste in the brewing process – spent malt + yeast goes to Kerry’s cows, hops go to the local gardening club & water is sent down to our reed bed filtration system
Crisp packet recycling point – drop them off with us to stop them going to landfill!
100% recycled paper in our office + energy saving light bulbs
Community hub – Aid collection point, gardening club meeting point, local community events programme + annual community green hop beer.

And we have lots of ideas on how to be even more sustainable in the future!!
