About Us

The Brewery

Bluestone Brewing is an exciting family run brewery situated in the foothills of the Preseli Hills in North Pembrokeshire. We produce hand crafted real ales, using local water filtered down through the Bluestone Hills to produce a range of flavoursome Rock Solid Ales.

Our ten barrel brewery lives in the front yard of Tyriet Farm, which is still a working farm to this day. Before the buildings were converted for the brewery, they were used as a dairy and stables. And just 5 months prior to opening our doors as a brewery; newborn lambs and calves were being reared in them!

The name Bluestone Brewing Company comes from the local stone that the buildings were built from many years ago. Bluestone is also pretty famous for being mysteriously transported over 250 miles to become Stonehenge over 5000 years ago!

The water we use for brewing our Rock Solid Ales is unique to Bluestone. Our water filters down the Preseli Mountains and collects in a well on our land. And because the spring water is so natural and crystal clear, it goes straight from the well into our beers, with no filtering or added chemicals. Find out what makes our ales so awesome!

We take pride in the fact that our brewery is incredibly environmentally conscious and renewable. Being situated on a working farm, we reuse all the bi-products from our Ales and feed them back to our animals. And by using water from our very own well and generating our own solar power, we are proud to be a green brewery!

What started as a small diversity project, Bluestone has quickly grown into something really special! We have recently opened a visitor centre where visitors can come and have a taste of a real microbrewery experience.

With everything from brewery tours and beer tasting to live music events, Bluestone Brewery really is unmissable! See our upcoming events
